What is Sculptra® treatment?

Sculptra® is a so-called biostimulator based on polylactic acid. Unlike traditional fillers, no direct volume is injected here. Instead, the body is stimulated to produce collagen itself. By strengthening the deeper layers of the skin, the appearance of cellulite can be significantly improved.

This is how a Sculptra®-treatment works

After a detailed consultation, the polylactic acid is injected into the affected areas of skin using fine needles. The treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the area.

The treated areas are then gently massaged to help distribute the active ingredient evenly.

After treatment, slight redness or swelling may occur, but this usually subsides quickly. To optimise the effect, we recommend:

  • Massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days.
  • Refrain from intense sun exposure, saunas and sports for a few days.
  • Results develop gradually – patience pays off

The results can last up to 24 months, depending on skin quality, lifestyle, and the treated area.

Collagen production starts within a few weeks. Initial visible effects can be seen from week 8, with the full result appearing after 3–4 months.

Injections are performed with very fine needles. Local anesthesia can be applied if necessary to increase comfort.

Yes – by strengthening the connective tissue, Sculptra® can significantly improve the skin texture in cases of mild to moderate cellulite. For more pronounced cellulite, combination therapies are often recommended. Note: The use of Sculptra® on the body is off-label and based on medical experience.
