Midfacelift Livion Hamburg

For a firmer midface

Midface lift

When the facial tissue sags and the skin loses elasticity and firmness, these changes can make us appear tired, stressed, or simply older. A mid-facelift is suitable for both women and men who do not have excessive skin laxity but wish to achieve a fresher, more alert, and friendlier appearance. The procedure targets the temples, eyebrows, cheeks, and midface. A well-executed facelift restores a natural and radiant version of your earlier self.

What is a midface lift?

The endoscopic midface lift at LIVION in Hamburg

The so-called endoscopic facelift is a gentle method of facial rejuvenation. This minimally invasive procedure allows the surgeon to work through very small incisions, which has the major advantage of a quick recovery, enabling patients to return to their daily activities sooner. Because the small cuts are made in the hair-bearing scalp, the procedure leaves no visible scarring.

At our Hamburg practice, we take the time to provide you with a personalized and detailed consultation to discuss your options and clarify your expectations. Our goal is to support you throughout the entire process, from the initial consultation to post-operative care, while achieving a natural-looking result.

How is an endoscopic midface lift performed?

Facelift without major incisions

With the help of an endoscopy, a camera that is inserted into the deeper tissue through the hair-bearing area, the cheeks can be lifted, the volume at the zygomatic arch restored, and the lower eyelids and any eye bags smoothed out. Sagging and loosened areas of the face can be elevated and securely fixed. In this way, a lifting can be performed without the need for large incisions. The procedure can be combined with a nano- or micro-fat transfer (autologous fat transplantation) to achieve an even better result. An endoscopic midface lift takes about three hours, depending on the initial situation and the corrections required. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and usually involves a one-day hospital stay.

What do you need to consider after the procedure?

Aftercare of an endoscopic midface lift

After the surgery, you will receive special taping to be worn for several days. In the first few days, swelling may occur, which can be minimized through regular cooling. Prescriptions for the necessary medications and instructions for post-operative care will be provided in your treatment folder. It is also helpful to sleep with your upper body slightly elevated for a few nights. In any case, you should allow yourself some rest and avoid physical strain to ensure optimal wound healing.

You will generally be socially presentable again after about two weeks. Full physical activity and sports can usually be resumed six weeks after the midfacelift. The final result is typically achieved after approximately 3–6 months.

The following follow-up appointments are very important. During these visits, we will provide useful tips, monitor the healing process, document progress, and discuss the results with you in detail.

FAQ

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ENDOSCOPIC MIDFACE LIFT

A midface lift is ideal for individuals showing signs of aging in the midface area, such as sagging cheeks, deep nasolabial folds, and a tired appearance. It is suitable for those seeking a minimally invasive solution for midface rejuvenation without the use of fillers. Ideally, candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations regarding the outcome of the procedure.

With this procedure, sagging cheeks can be lifted and restored to a more youthful position. Deep nasolabial folds are also reduced, creating a smoother and more harmonious appearance. The midface lift contributes to a fresher and more youthful look in the midface area.

Recovery after a midface lift varies from person to person but typically takes about 2–3 weeks. Swelling and bruising may occur during the first few days after the procedure, but these gradually subside. Most patients are able to resume social activities after around 2 weeks, although some minor limitations may still persist.

Temporary swelling and bruising may occur and typically resolve within a few weeks. Some patients may also experience temporary numbness or altered sensation in the face, which usually subsides within a few weeks.

Because the incisions are minimal and placed in the hair-bearing scalp, the procedure leaves no visible scars.

The effect becomes visible after approximately 3–6 months and is long-lasting. However, natural skin aging continues, so depending on the patient’s metabolism and skincare routine, a follow-up treatment may be required after a few years.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so most patients experience little to no pain during treatment. After the procedure, pain medication is provided to manage any discomfort. This is generally mild and subsides over time. While individual pain perception may vary, most patients report that it is well tolerated.
