Treating wrinkles on the décolleté without surgery

Décolleté wrinkle treatment

A full, firm décolleté is considered by many women a symbol of youthfulness and femininity. However, like the face and neck, the décolleté is particularly prone to wrinkles and fine lines. With age, and especially due to the additional strain from the breasts, the skin loses its elasticity and firmness. Factors such as prolonged sun exposure and unfavorable sleeping positions can further contribute to the formation of lines in this area.

The good news: Tired, stressed skin can be revitalized and décolleté wrinkles visibly smoothed. At LIVION in Hamburg, we offer two effective décolleté wrinkle treatments: décolleté injections and Morpheus8™ radiofrequency needling.

At LIVION, we offer two minimally invasive treatments that can effectively treat wrinkles on the décolleté. We differentiate between hyaluronic acid injections, which fill in wrinkles, and the Morpheus8radiofrequency method, which stimulates collagen production and improves skin elasticity.

How is a décolleté treatment performed?

Two methods for décolleté skin rejuvenation

The décolleté treatment at LIVION Hamburg is a wrinkle-reducing procedure using hyaluronic acid. The product is injected into both the superficial and deeper layers of the skin. Lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid fills existing wrinkles over a wide area and stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. The injection procedure typically takes 15–20 minutes and is performed using either a fine needle or a blunt cannula. If desired, a topical anesthetic cream can be applied to the treated area. Another option at LIVION Hamburg is Morpheus8 radiofrequency therapy—an innovative method where ultrafine needles penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. This allows for particularly long-lasting results. Prior to treatment, the skin is prepared with a numbing cream, making the procedure very comfortable. The full décolleté treatment, including anesthesia, lasts approximately 60 minutes.

What you need to bear in mind after treatment

Aftercare for décolleté wrinkle treatment

After both treatments, you are usually able to resume your normal social activities immediately, although individual injection sites may be visible for around one to two days. Swelling and slight bruising may occur, but this will disappear within a few days. When undergoing hyaluronic acid injections, we recommend drinking at least two litres of water per day so that the hyaluronic acid can take full effect. You can resume sporting activities after 48 hours. We recommend avoiding direct sunlight, saunas and steam baths for one week after the treatment.

FAQ

The most frequently asked questions about décolleté wrinkle treatment

At LIVION in Hamburg, two minimally invasive methods are available to effectively treat wrinkles on the décolleté. The first option is hyaluronic acid injections, which visibly fill fine to deeper wrinkles. The second option is radiofrequency microneedling with Morpheus8, which regenerates the skin structure at a deeper level by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

The treatment is ideal for women whose décolleté skin has lost elasticity and shows early to advanced wrinkles. Common causes include aging, sun exposure, sleeping positions, or tension from breast volume. Both methods are gentle, effective, and perfect for patients seeking smoother, refreshed skin without surgery.

During the hyaluronic acid injection, superficial and deeper layers of the skin are precisely treated with lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid. The substance retains moisture, plumps wrinkles, and stimulates the body’s natural collagen production. The session lasts approximately 15–20 minutes. On request, a numbing cream can be applied beforehand for added comfort.

Morpheus8 combines radiofrequency energy with microneedling. Fine needles penetrate the deeper skin layers, delivering controlled thermal energy that activates tissue regeneration. The skin is tightened, strengthened, and rejuvenated. A numbing cream is applied before the treatment, and the session lasts around 60 minutes.

Both methods are gentle. Minor redness, swelling, or bruising may occur but usually resolves within a few days. After a hyaluronic acid treatment, most patients are socially presentable on the same day. Following Morpheus8 microneedling, the skin typically calms within one to two days.

After hyaluronic acid injections, drink at least two liters of water daily to support optimal results. For both methods, avoid intense sun exposure, sauna, or steam baths for one week. Sports can generally be resumed after 48 hours.

The longevity of results depends on the chosen method, skin condition, and lifestyle. Hyaluronic acid effects usually last 6–12 months. Morpheus8 results become fully visible after 2–3 months and can last up to a year or longer, depending on skin aging. Touch-ups can be planned individually.
