Augenbrauenlifting ohne OP - die Unterschiede bei den minimalinvasiven Verfahren

Eyebrow lift without surgery - the differences between minimally invasive procedures

An eyebrow lift can be performed entirely without surgery. Instead, various minimally invasive methods are used to lift drooping eyebrows. These methods work in different ways, for example, directly on the muscles around the eyes, on the structure of the skin or on collagen formation.

The techniques used are modern and innovative, ranging from thread lifts and Botox to ultrasound. Both the mechanisms of action and the duration of the results vary. The appropriate treatment depends on your individual wishes on the one hand and on your specific suitability on the other.

The possibilities of thread lifting

Thread lifting is based on the insertion of absorbable thread material directly into the subcutaneous fatty tissue. This mechanically lifts the eyebrows. In addition, the procedure stimulates the production of the body's own structural protein collagen, which is produced in increasingly limited quantities with age. This makes the skin less firm, which also causes the eyebrows to droop slightly. Thread lifting tightens the tissue again, which lifts the eyebrows.

The results of the treatment are immediately visible. Furthermore, they continue to improve in the weeks that follow. This is due to the regeneration of the treated tissue. A thread lift lasts for around three to four months. The results are particularly natural and are primarily suitable for milder signs of sagging.

Loop Lift (permanent thread lifting)

The loop lift is a further development of the classic thread lift and is designed to achieve significantly longer-lasting results. Special threads are anchored under the skin in the form of a closed ‘loop’, creating a stable lifting effect. This technique enables a particularly precise and lasting lift of the eyebrows, as the threads not only tighten the skin but also form a permanent support structure thanks to their special placement. In addition, as with other thread lift variants, the body's own collagen production is activated, which supports the treatment results in the long term. The effect lasts significantly longer than with classic thread lifting and is particularly suitable for patients who are looking for a minimally invasive but more permanent alternative.

Eyebrow lifting with Botox

The use of the neurotoxin botulinum toxin (Botox) has a muscle-relaxing effect. This makes it possible to visibly lift your eyebrows. The method works by injecting directly into the muscles. The muscles responsible for lowering the eyebrows are specifically treated. The effect is a slight lifting of the forehead area, including the eyebrows. Your eyes appear both more alert and more open.

The results of the treatment, which takes only a few minutes, are fully visible after about a week. A Botox treatment lasts an average of three to six months. You can usually repeat the procedure as often as you like without causing any problems for the tissue.

Botox is particularly low-risk and is used by many people as a so-called injection procedure. It breaks down completely over time and therefore requires regular refreshers if desired.

The effects of hyaluronic acid

An eyebrow lift without surgery using hyaluronic acid is considered to be particularly painless. The acid is used as a filler with the aim of compensating for the loss of volume and thus enabling a visual lifting of the eyebrows. The hyaluronic acid gel injections are placed in the area below the brow for this purpose.

The effect of treatment with hyaluronic acid is a noticeably fresher appearance due to the lifting of the brows. In addition, minor asymmetries in the eye area can also be compensated for if necessary.

A hyaluronic acid treatment usually takes around 20 minutes and offers you immediately visible results. The effect lasts for around six months to a year, depending on your individual metabolism and the product used. If necessary, you can combine the use of hyaluronic acid with other methods, such as Botox treatment or thread lifting.

Chemical brow lift with Botox

The chemical brow lift with Botox specifically utilises the muscle-relaxing effect of botulinum toxin to visibly lift the eyebrows – but with a particularly precise and differentiated approach. This involves weakening very specific muscle areas that usually have a downward pulling effect on the brows. This allows for a much finer shaping of the entire eyebrow than with a classic Botox treatment, which is why the chemical brow lift is often used for particularly natural but clearly noticeable lifting effects. The effect is fully visible after about a week and lasts for three to six months. This method is ideal if you do not want to build up volume, but only want a muscular lift of the eyebrows.

Stimulation of collagen production by radiofrequency (RF)

The radiofrequency method is based on the use of high-frequency radio waves. Their task is to stimulate the body's own collagen production in the long term by heating the deeper layers of the skin. This leads to the contraction of existing collagen fibres and, in this context, to the formation of additional fibres. The associated effect is a natural lift based on the tightening of the skin.

The painless procedure shows its effects after a few weeks. Due to the gradual formation of new collagen, the overall effect unfolds over a period of several months. You will need several treatments to achieve a visible effect. Radiofrequency is usually used in combination with another minimally invasive procedure. RF is also an option as a preventive measure to prevent drooping eyebrows.

How ultrasound works

The use of ultrasound, for example in the form of the Ultherapy method, is also considered a non-surgical eyebrow lift. The method aims to stimulate the deeper layers of the skin using controlled heat. This in turn stimulates your body's own collagen production, resulting in skin tightening.

The treatment takes around 30 to 60 minutes. The desired effect becomes apparent over the course of several weeks and is fully achieved after approximately two to three months. The results of an ultrasound treatment last for around 18 months. Further treatments prolong the results.

Ultherapy is particularly effective when combined with other procedures. These can include Botox treatment or the administration of hyaluronic acid.

Choosing the right method

The decision on which method is best for you depends on several different factors. First and foremost are your age and the current condition of your skin. In addition, there are your individual expectations of the result or the specific effect you desire. If, for example, you have a muscular drooping of the eyebrows, Botox is usually a sensible choice. For asymmetrical brows or existing volume loss, precise modelling with hyaluronic acid can be helpful.

For more moderate drooping of the eyebrows, thread lifting is suitable. If skin ageing is already beginning, both ultrasound and radio frequency can be considered.

In most cases, a combination of several methods is particularly effective. A detailed professional consultation will help you find the best solution for your needs.
